Your 2021-22 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) was selected for review in a process called verification. In this process we compare your FAFSA with information on this worksheet and other required documents. We are required to collect and verify this information before awarding federal or state aid. We will correct your FAFSA if we find an error and you will be notified of those changes.
 Student – High School Completion Status
 Check one of the items below and provide the documentation to indicate your high school completion status when you begin college in 2021–22.
  •  Copy of your high school diploma – OR – final official copy of your high school transcript showing the date your diploma was awarded
  •  Copy of your secondary school leaving certificate, or other similar document, If you completed your secondary education (high school) outside of the United States.
  •  Copy of your General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate or transcript received after passing a state authorized test that is recognized as equivalent to a high school diploma.
  •  Copy of of your academic transcript that shows you have successfully completed a 2 year degree that is acceptable for full credit towards a bachelor´s degree.
  •  Copy of homeschool credential (if required by state) – OR – copy of secondary course transcript along with statement signed by parent that you successfully completed a secondary education in a homeschool setting.
 Student – Identity & Statement of Educational Purpose
 You must appear in person at Edmonds College to verify your identity by presenting a valid unexpired government-issued photo identification, such as but not limited to a driver´s license, other state-issued ID, or passport. The Financial Aid Office will maintain a copy of your photo ID that is annotated with the date it was received and the name of the official at the college authorized to collect your identification. In addition, you must sign, in the presence of the college financial aid official, the following Statement of Educational Purpose.
 If you are unable to appear in person, you must provide an original notarized Statement of Educational Purpose and a copy of the valid unexpired government issued identification that is acknowledged in the notary statement.
